"I...I love you...", Stein whispered almost silently.
Spirit's eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"Stein...", Spirit replied softly before asking "...have you been drinking?"

"...just a bit", the doctor groaned closing his eyes, wrapping his other arm around his old weapon's already soaked waist.

Spirit sighed, yet continued to hold his intoxicated friend, brushing some hair out of the doctor's partly stitched face.

He carefully took Stein's cigarette and stubbed it out; the doctor could barely stand yet alone smoke.

The Deathsythe had gone over to Stein's lab to ask his old meister...something... he couldn't really remember what exactly it was right now, as the sight of Stein out in the pouring rain, staggering around had swept all his previous thoughts away.

He had to find out why Stein was in this state...

Seeing as I drew a literal in-bed-picture for the OroKabu Challenge, I kinda wanted to draw something a bit different for SteinxSpirit.

As I figured there are lots of different types of love; I wanted the love that Stein and Spirit share not necessarily be sexual in this picture but, more so a love between two people whom have been together for so long.

They have seen each other's faults and good points and accept them both.

Also, the classic line of "I love yoooouuu~" is sometimes said when drunk so I guess both of these themes went into this picture XD

Hah, spot the deliberate mistake. Stein has no glasses :P

The writing says " Boku wa... boku wa anata o aishiteimasu" which means "I love you" ;)

Image made with HB pencil 0.5, limited clean up around the faces and coloured in the computer.

Stein and Spirit belong to Atsushim Okubo.

Ooh, this is just awesome! I just love the sketchy feel to it, and I love the expression you brought out here.

Also, that bit at the top of your comments, is that from a particular fanfiction? If you already said it was and I just forgot to read it or something then just disregard me XD

Even when drunk Stein has his cigarette... I could imagine that happening in the manga or something xD Very tender picture, I'm faving it now because earlier I didn't manage to ^^;
